Animation!

Action! Get ready to take a hands-on role in exploring and creating animation! We’ll start by learning a little about the animation process and history, then they will move on to dream up, plan out, and produce their very own videos. Campers will build sets and characters, draw flipbooks, create storyboards, and even develop their acting voice. Then, once all the preparation has been done, using top of the line digital equipment, students will all partake in the actual process of animating their creations and setting their ideas into motion! Each student will get a personal dvd containing all their work for the class, and at the end of the camp, parents, friends, and family are all invited to an exciting premier screening at StageDoor where all work will be shown on the big screen! Students who participated in this camp last year will learn new techniques!

Film One!
-
Campers will take turns learning all the jobs of making a film! From operating the camera, to acting, lighting, and other positions on the set. We’ll write a script, build sets, gather costumes, learn basics about camera movement and usage, plus the principals of basic lighting for film and video. At the end of the week a screening of the film will be held for friends and family. Each camper will receive a copy of the film to take home.

Students can enroll in either Film Camp 1 or 2, or both. Students who enroll in both film camps will continue to learn new skills in the second camp.

Fairytale Fun!

Fairy Tales come to life as young actors use their imagination to create exciting characters. Participants will learn acting basics, make props, and develop self confidence while performing throughout this action packed camp!

Everybody Acts!

Learn theatre skills to help you shine! Campers will learn blocking, projection, characterization and working with a script. Join the fun! Campers will be grouped according to age.

Bits of Broadway, Musical Theatre

Get a little taste of Broadway! Through songs, scenes, and dance, students will explore what makes Broadway musicals timeless. Students are sure to have fun performing favorite songs and dances. Students will be grouped according to age.

Puppet Theatre!

This week we will use material from your favorite books or we’ll write our own stories. We’ll have a great time creating our puppets and bringing the books to life. Puppetry gives children the opportunity to explore their creativity, learn to work cooperatively, develop better listening and motor skill, and to fine tune their focus. Campers will be grouped according to age.
